It’s getting heated! White ‘A/C Karen’ loses her cool at black neighbor and threatens to call police if she doesn’t turn off her air conditioner in epic meltdown

An elderly white woman lost her cool with her black next door neighbor after she refused to switch off her air conditioner.

A video posted to TikTok, which has received almost 4 millions views, has a telling caption that sums up the absurdity of the request being witnessed in the clip: ‘What being a black woman living in a retired neighborhood looks like …. Calling the police on me for having my AC on.’

In the video a neighbor can be seen on door cam video approaching in the hopes of speaking with the resident of the home.

‘Hi, how are you?’ the white woman says to camera’s intercom. ‘Yeah, I need to talk to you,’ she continues.

The woman explains to the occupant that the A/C unit needs to be switched off because it was leaking onto homes below.

But the black tenant calmly states how she is unable to do anything about it because she is not home.

Things are then escalated almost immediately as the white ‘Karen’ then threatens to call the police to resolve the problem.

‘Well then I’m gonna have to call the police to come over here because you were told not to put your air conditioner on and your air conditioner’s running and it’s going in the unit downstairs,’ the neighbor said.

The black woman then explains how the air conditioner should not be running and said she had spoken to her landlord about the problem.

Nevertheless, the white woman continues to argue with her neighbor, saying the A/C is on and dripping onto her home.

‘How soon can you be here?’ the white neighbor asks, to which the homeowner states: ‘In 30 minutes.’

Incredibly, the black woman, who remains out of sight the entire time, managed to keep calm and even agreed to come back to her home to switch off the air conditioner.

Those responded to the video were irritated by what they had seen.

‘If I’m paying rent, no one is gonna say I can’t run A/C’, wrote one user.

”Why are most “Karens” retired??’, asked another. ‘It’s like they are so bored they just go around and start things with people.’

‘I swear, retired Karens are the worst!!!! My Karen neighbor would go through my trash to see if I was throwing out recycling items,’ shared a third, showing sympathy.
