Baby Reindeer’s ‘real-life Martha’ sent a vile email appearing to threaten to ‘buy a gun’ if Sadiq Khan was elected as Mayor of London.
Fiona Harvey, who believes she is the inspiration behind the woman portrayed in Richard Gadd’s smash-hit Netflix show, allegedly wrote the message about Mr Khan back in May 2016.
The email has come to light as part of the 58-year-old’s £135million lawsuit against Netflix in America. She is suing the streaming giant for defamation, negligence and privacy violations.
Now, as part of documents released in the case, an email allegedly from the Scottish lawyer has been revealed in which it’s claimed she wrote ‘if we get rid of that Khan everyone will sleep easy’.
The diatribe, which was seemingly incoherent at times, also referenced concerns over terrorism should Mr Khan be elected as London mayor, with Ms Harvey allegedly writing ‘we don’t want ISIL (Islamic State) shooting us’.

In the email, Ms Harvey apparently wrote: ‘Whacked out now just need to get directions to the gun shop in case mad khan wins.
‘We are… buying guns to shoot each other with just in case.
‘We don’t want ISIL shooting us.
‘If we get rid of that Khan everyone will sleep easy.
‘He should never even have been allowed to stand.’
It was signed off: ‘Sent from my iPhone.’
It is unclear who the email was sent to, as parts of the message have been redacted.
Mr Khan’s office has declined to comment about the message.
MailOnline has approached the Metropolitan Police for comment.

Ms Harvey’s US legal representative Richard Roth said she has a ‘very, very strong case’ and he expects Ms Harvey, Gadd and Netflix executives to testify in court in California.
The show, which is said to be based on the real-life experiences of comedian and writer Gadd, sees character Martha Scott – played by Jessica Gunning – stalk him after he offers her a free cup of tea in a pub where he works.
However, Harvey – who denies stalking Mr Gadd – reportedly wrote hundreds of emails to Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer.
According to The Sun, Ms Harvey bombarded Sir Keir, describing him as a ‘stupid little boy’ and a ‘useless barrister’.
It was claimed 276 emails – from two separate email addresses – were among those forwarded on by Ms Harvey to The Scottish Sun over a period of several years.

In one email she is alleged to have said: ‘Keir cut the crap with me you stupid little boy.
‘See from now on if l complain about the slightest little thing your life won’t be worth living.’
In another 1,420-word message during lockdown, she is alleged to have said Labour’s shadow cabinet was ‘full of imbeciles’ and ‘yes men’.
She suggested a deal had been done where unions backed Starmer for leader ‘and in return you get that imbecile Angela Rayner as depute’.
The news comes amid her legal battle against Netflix.
In a candid interview with Piers Morgan, Ms Harvey’s US lawyer Mr Roth said the fallout from the Baby Reindeer case ‘could be a watershed moment for streaming TV’.
Speaking about why he had taken the case, Roth said: ‘[It] is really just reprehensible when someone says something’s ‘a true story’ […]. And if Netflix is going to say this is a true story, then it better well be true. And to do that is irresponsible of them.’

He added: ‘Fiona Harvey, you’ve had her on your show, she’s been destroyed. She’d been shattered by this. She gets death threats, she doesn’t want to leave her apartment.’
In the show, Martha is convicted of stalking Donny following months of harassing him – during which time she sexually assaults him, waits at the bus stop outside his house and attacks his girlfriend.
Following the release of Baby Reindeer, Ms Harvey was found by viewers of the show who traced her identity online.
She later identified herself as the woman who was allegedly the inspiration for the stalker in the show.
Mr Roth said: ‘It’s so irresponsible for him to testify under oath in front of Parliament saying she was convicted when it’s clear she wasn’t, that’s the first thing.
‘The second thing you raise is that, you know, you said the word ‘internet sleuths’. I think that’s sort of a loose term. I could get it [Fiona’s identity] on the internet. You don’t have to be a sleuth… It was very easy for anyone and everyone.’
Speaking of Ms Harvey, Mr Roth said: ‘This is a woman who was really thrust into the limelight. This is not a situation where you have a public figure, who essentially was defamed.
‘This is a situation where a woman lives her own life, and she all of a sudden, found getting death threats, can’t leave her apartment.
‘Really, really just inappropriate. Why is Netflix not calling her up and say, ‘Listen, we’re about to do this story, we’d like you to look at it. We’d like to fact check”.
The lawyer added: ‘Honestly, she’s not well, she’s clammed up in her apartment. She doesn’t know what to do, doesn’t know where to go. She’s hurting. I mean, she really has been shattered by this.’
