MLB.com is keeping track of all the latest free-agent and trade rumors involving the Dodgers right here. The 2024 MLB Trade Deadline is Tuesday at 6 p.m. ET.

July 30: Dodgers reportedly interested in Flaherty
With just hours to go until the 6 p.m. ET Trade Deadline, the market for Flaherty features some serious contenders. According to MLB Network insider Jon Heyman, the Dodgers, Yankees and Red Sox are among the clubs with interest in the right-handed starter. MLB Network insider Jon Paul Morosi hears the Padres are also discussing Flaherty.

Los Angeles and New York had previously been connected to Flaherty, who was scratched from Monday’s scheduled start with trade rumors swirling. The Yankees had scouts at the Tigers hurler’s recent starts, according to MLB.com’s Bryan Hoch. The Orioles had also been a rumored destination for Flaherty, but Tuesday’s acquisition of left-hander Trevor Rogers from the Marlins makes a deal for Flaherty unlikely.

July 29: Dodgers still in play for Crochet (report)
On Monday, the Dodgers were involved in a three-team trade with the Cardinals and White Sox that sent both Tommy Edman and Michael Kopech to Los Angeles, with Erick Fedde landing in St. Louis and a package of young players/prospects going to Chicago. The versatile Edman solves the Dodgers’ need for someone who can play shortstop and could also be a fit in center field or at second base. Meanwhile, Kopech will give L.A. a high-upside relief arm.

In a separate trade later on Monday, the Dodgers also acquired Amed Rosario from the Rays. Rosario, another hitter who can play in the infield and outfield, returns for his second stint with Los Angeles, which dealt for him from the Guardians at last year’s Trade Deadline.

Next up for the Dodgers? Bolstering their injury-ravaged rotation. They could make a move for one of the best starters on the trade block in White Sox left-hander Garrett Crochet. The Los Angeles Times’ Jack Harris reports that the Dodgers are “still in play” for Crochet.

There are concerns about Crochet’s workload for the rest of this season — he has thrown 114 1/3 innings after pitching just 12 2/3 innings last year — as well as reports that he would require a contract extension to be willing to pitch in the postseason. However, MLB Network Jon Heyman said Sunday that despite those issues, interest in Crochet remains strong.

Tyler Glasnow, who recently returned from a back injury, is only six innings away from his MLB career high (120) set last season, while Clayton Kershaw just came back from left shoulder surgery. Rookie Gavin Stone has already thrown 107 2/3 innings, putting him on track to surpass last year’s professional career high of 131 2/3 between Triple-A and MLB.

Meanwhile, Yoshinobu Yamamoto (right rotator cuff strain) and Walker Buehler (right hip inflammation) are still working their way back from injuries.
