Trump Media is rolling out a new streaming platform on Truth Social, a service that will feature “neglected” content before debuting with new channels across other devices, the company announced Friday, though few details are available about what programming will be offered.

Key Facts

Devin Nunes, Trump Media’s chief executive, said in a statement that Truth+ will feature content that is “neglected by the big corporations or is at risk of cancellations,” though Nunes did not specify what programs it will carry, while also claiming the platform will become “uncancellable.”

Truth+ will undergo “rigorous stress testing” before debuting to all Truth Social users, who will be able to access the streaming platform via a “new content delivery network” as they search other content on the site, Trump Media said.

Trump Media said in a regulatory filing last month the company expects to start generating revenue from Truth+ next year.

Trump Media’s stock was up more than 5% following the news Friday, bucking a massive broader market selloff.

Where Will The Truth+ Streaming Platform Be Available?

Truth+ will first be available exclusively on Truth Social before rolling out as an app on Android and Apple devices, followed by streaming apps for home TVs, according to Trump Media.

What We Don’t Know

It’s not immediately clear what shows or programming will be offered on Truth+, though Trump Media said the platform will initially include channels for news, commentary, weather, lifestyle and entertainment. The company said it plans to expand on future programming that would feature “Christian content and family friendly content.”

Key Background

Trump Media announced an asset acquisition agreement in a regulatory filing last month, indicating Trump Media would launch an early version of an unnamed streaming platform in the company’s third quarter, with a full launch expected by the end of the year. Stock movement for Trump Media has been volatile since launching earlier this year, including several double-digit dips like a 20% drop in the weeks after Trump was convicted in his hush money trial. The stock has also surged several times, including a record 31% increase on July 14, the first day of trading after an assassination attempt on Trump, and a 10% increase after Trump debated President Joe Biden in June.
