A man is fighting for his life following a horror high-speed crash where a car burst into flames before its three occupants fled the scene. 

Emergency services rushed to Davies Road in Padstow, south-west Sydney, about 10.40pm on Sunday following reports of a two-vehicle crash. 

The white Audi is understood to have been stolen and travelling at high-speed when it collided with a silver Nissan which was pulling out onto the road. 

The Audi burst into flames due to the force of the crash and firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze but the car was completely destroyed. 

Paramedics treated the Nissan driver at the scene before rushing him to St George Hospital in a critical condition. 

Witnesses told police three men, who were travelling in the Audi, fled the collision before emergency services arrived at the scene. 

Police have launched a manhunt for the occupants of the Audi and would like to speak with them about the crash. 

A crime scene was established and officers from the Crash Investigation Unit have started an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the incident. 

Anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage is being urged to contact Bankstown Police Area Command or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
