WolfEye Studios, a developer founded and largely comprised of former Arkane employees, is working on its sophomore effort. In a recent tweet, co-founder Raphaël Colantonio revealed that WolfEye’s next game will likely excite fans of Dishonored and Prey.

“We’ll reveal a bit more about our next game in a few days,” wrote Colantonio. “Fans of the previous 1st person games I was involved with (Dishonored and Prey) will be happy.”

A few months ago, WolfEye Studios was pitching its next game at GDC 2024, and the studio provided a small tease: it’s a retro sci-fi RPG. This might be as close as we’ll get to a new Dishonored or Prey kind of game from the folks who made them, as Arkane Austin was shut down earlier this year. However, a Dishonored 3 could be possible in the future, as it appeared in an old release schedule document during the FTC trial for the Microsoft and Activision Blizzard merger.

WolfEye’s first game, Weird West, was released in 2022 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One with PS5 and Series X|S ports arriving a year later. In GameSpot’s Weird West review, we said, “There are a lot of excellent old-school isometric adventure games in Weird West’s DNA, but not enough new-school polish for it to be something great.”
