At least one person was injured Friday when a cafeteria manager crashed into three propane tanks behind a Florida elementary school, officials said.

The incident happened just before 3:30 p.m. in the back lot of Marjory Stoneman Douglas Elementary School — the lower Miami-Dade school that shares the same name as the high school where a gunman slaughtered 17 classmates in 2018.

The cafeteria employee had backed their car into the tanks, cracking open the tops and spraying a heavy stream of propane into the air, 7 News Miami reported.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue firefighters and its hazmat division responded to the scene — they shut down the leaking tanks and are monitoring other leaks, a spokesperson confirmed.

The school and a nearby church were evacuated, and the driver was taken to the hospital. Their condition is not yet clear.

School was not in session at the time of the accident.

The Miami-Dade School District was not immediately available for further information.
