A woman was found dead with dozens of stab wounds inside a Staten Island home, as was her boyfriend’s lifeless body — in a chilling case investigators are probing as a possible murder-suicide, cops and sources said Thursday.

Priscilla Scarpati, 36, was found knifed more than 30 times when police responded to the home at Amador Street and Amity Place in Graniteville minutes before 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to authorities and law-enforcement sources.

Her boyfriend, identified by sources as James Guidone, 37, was also found unconscious and unresponsive, with no visible signs of trauma, cops said.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

Guidone’s great-aunt told Gothamist that her nephew had recently argued with his live-in girlfriend, and was dealing with the stress of caring for his brother and father, who both struggled with substance abuse.

“I just can’t believe he did this,” Laura Guidone said.

“I tried to help him, but in his mind, it was one way, that’s it. He wouldn’t listen to anything else. He was worried about the house, the mortgage and how he’s gonna pay it.”

His mental state became worse and worse – as he often texted his great-aunt expressing his desperation, she told the outlet.

But then he stopped responding around Aug. 9, his great-aunt said.

“He went through a lot, that kid,” Guidone said.

“I tried to help him about as much as I could.”

Investigators are conducting toxicology reports on James Guidone’s body, sources said.

The city medical examiner’s office will officially determine the cause of death for both Guidone and Scarpati.
