Two passengers got their revenge on Delta after their flight was delayed by abusing the perks of the airline’s SkyClub lounge.

TikTok user Kyle Philippi filmed himself and his friend filling themselves with free food and pouring their complimentary wine in the bin after the airline refused to compensate him for the delay.

The hilarious video, posted Wednesday, also saw them steal magazines, pump out hand sanitizer in excess, let the showers run and empty the shampoo and conditioner bottles. The delay appeared to be related to last week’s Microsoft outage.

The clip began with the text: ‘POV [Point of View]: Delta doesn’t compensate for thousands of dollars lost from delaying out flights for days so we gonna’ get it back in the SkyClub.’

While the caption read:  ‘This will set them back.’

Philippe told DailyMail.com he was part of a group of ten travelling to Quito, Ecuador for a week serving children in poor neighborhoods.

He said: ‘We already paid for groceries, transportation, lodging, inflatables for the kids. When our flight was cancelled all these things got paid for and waisted because we couldn’t fly out for days’

Users in the comments said Philippi’s video was appropriate justice for the  airline following last week’s delays,  cancellations and mile-long queues triggered by a Microsoft outage.

One wrote: ‘I won’t lie pouring the wine out went hard.’

Another said: ‘My carry on would be nothing but snacks for the whole flight.’

A third added:  ‘As someone who has been completely wronged by Delta, thank you for your service!’

Delta charges travelers a premium because of its reliable reputation. But, as of Tuesday morning the airline had already cancelled 173 flights.

That accounted for 11 percent of all of their flights across the US, while the airline had delayed a further 115 flights that same day.

By comparison, American Airlines had canceled just two flights as of 7:30am on Tuesday, and United had to drop only one flight.

Travelers have been sleeping at the airport since the meltdown began on Friday which caused Delta to cancel over 5,500 flights since the outage.

Delta blamed having to manually-reset more than 1,500 of its systems for the chaos – although it is still unclear why the airline has been so much worse-affected than rivals.

The Department of Transportation has now launched an investigation into the airline over the fiasco.
