You Can Soon Add A Full-Scale Replica Of Batman 1989’s Iconic Cowl To Your Collection

While you might lack the billions in cash, martial arts training, and wonderful gadgets needed to be Batman, at least you can display the Caped Crusader’s iconic cowl in your home with this new collectible. Pre-orders are now live for the upcoming Batman replica cowl from McFarlane Toys, a 1:1-scale version of the mask worn by Michael Keaton in Tim Burton’s 1989 film. Priced at $160, this will be available in November.

While it’s is not an exact replica of the cowl, this version does hit a nice sweet spot for overall authenticity and affordability. The general shape and style of the cowl are in line with the version seen on the big screen, although it is lacking the finer details such as the bat-like texture and sharper ear-tips. Still, you’d normally pay much more than $160 for a true screen-accurate cowl– the Pure Arts version is priced at $809–so this is a nice compromise.

Out of the box, the cowl comes with a display stand and stands 24.5-inches tall. Due to the hard plastic material it is non-wearable, but it’ll still look great as a centerpiece in a Batman collection.
