85 year-old man punched in the head in random Hell’s Kitchen attack

An 85-year-old man was socked in the head in Hell’s Kitchen in a random attack on Friday, according to police and a report. An 85-year-old man was socked in the head in Hell’s Kitchen in a random attack on Friday, according to police and a report.

The elderly victim was assaulted on a sidewalk at the intersection of West 43rd Street and Ninth Avenue around 4:45 p.m., according to police.

When cops arrived, they found the battered man with trauma to his head. 

He was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.

Blood was splattered on a taped-off area of the sidewalk as police officers stood nearby after the shocking assault, photos show.

The attack was unprovoked, ABC 7 reported.

Police said they have one male in custody with charges still pending.
