Apple Weekend Sale – iPad For Only $229, 2024 MacBook Air For $850, And More Best-Ever Deals

Amazon and Best Buy are slashing prices on a wide range of Apple products this weekend, including M4 iPad Pros, 2024 MacBook Airs, and M3 MacBook Pros. Some of these are even down to their lowest prices of the year–giving you a chance to score a premium Apple tablet or laptop for cheap. For instance, the 9th Gen iPad is discounted to only $229 at Amazon until tomorrow, August 10, at 9:15 AM ET. If Amazon sells out, Best Buy has the entry-level iPad for $230. The standout laptop deals cut $250 off the price of the 2024 MacBook Air with Apple’s powerful M3 chip, allowing you to get this excellent laptop for only $850.

Best Buy’s deals are set to expire on Sunday, though it’s unclear when most of Amazon’s deals will disappear. It’s highly likely you’ll only have a few days to cash in on the price cuts at both retailers, so we’ve rounded up the best Apple deals to help you navigate the savings.

Several versions of the M4 iPad Pro are discounted at Amazon and Best Buy. If you’re a My Best Buy Plus or My Best Buy Total member, you can save up to $150 on nearly 50 different configurations of the premium tablet. Amazon also has deals on the new M4 iPad Pros, and you don’t need a membership to take advantage of these offers. Prices at Amazon and Best Buy, in most cases, match for the iPad Pros, though there are some slight variations.

Budget-Friendly iPads

The above iPad Pro models are great if you’re a poweruser, but if you just need something to browse the web or stream TV shows, you can get away with a much more affordable tablet. The Apple iPad (9th Gen, A13, 64GB) is a great choice now that it’s just $229 (down from $329), as you’re still getting a vibrant 10.2-inch Retina display, built-in cameras, and Apple’s usual high-quality construction. For something smaller, the 8.3-inch iPad Mini (6th Gen) is a good alternative, thanks to its Liquid Retina display, A15 chip, and all-day battery life.

Note: The $229 iPad deal expires tomorrow morning at 9:15 AM ET at Amazon.

2024 MacBook Airs

The Apple 2024 MacBook Air (13-Inch, M3, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD) is down to its best price of the year, as Amazon is slashing it to just $850 (down from $1,099). The 15-inch model is also on sale with a $250 price cut, while the older 2022 model is seeing a $100 discount. However, we’d recommend sticking with the 2024 models, as they’re only marginally more expensive while offering an impactful boost in performance.

M3 MacBook Pros

Whether you need a premium laptop to get you through four years of college or just another day at the office, the MacBook Pro lineup is always a great choice. Several models are seeing big discounts right now, and one of our favorite deals is for the Apple 2023 MacBook Pro (14.2-Inch, M3, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD). Typically sold for $1,599, it’s on sale for $1,299–its lowest price ever. The M3 chip should be powerful enough for most applications, though anyone dealing with demanding video editing or photo processing might want to step up to the M3 Pro or M3 Max models.
