‘Tis the season for celebrities to reduce the price of their megamansions!

The latest to take up the trend is James Burrows, co-creator of the beloved TV series “Cheers.”

The director had listed his Los Angeles mansion for $38 million in 2022, then gradually reduced the price. A recent trim of $3 million pushed it down to $27 million.

Burrows and his wife, Debbie, purchased the Mediterranean mansion on 4.3 acres in Bel-Air for about $11.9 million in 2004, according to Realtor.com® records.

The mansion was built in 1990 by architect Oscar Shamamian and decorated by designer Michael Smith, who did a makeover of the White House Oval Office in 2010.

With six bedrooms and nine bathrooms in 12,586 square feet of living space, the mansion has plenty of room for luxury. Limestone flooring, crown molding, and textured wallpaper are featured throughout the home.

Upscale amenities include staff quarters, a guesthouse, a tennis court, an English country garden, a pool, and a pool pavilion with a fireplace and built-in barbecue.

One of the mansion’s most impressive rooms, interestingly enough, is one of the two bathrooms in the primary suite. It has a vaulted and wood-beamed ceiling, skylight chandelier, soaking tub, and fireplace.

Also unique is the stacked staircase in the two-story foyer.

Burrows, 83, is one of the most prolific TV directors, creators, and producers of all time. He started his career directing “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” then went on to co-create the iconic “Cheers” and directed major hits, including “Taxi,” “Frasier,” “Friends,” and “Will & Grace.”

Randy White contributed to this report.
