Dixie D’Amelio loves a good hair transformation.

The TikTok star, 22, is known for frequently switching up her hairstyle, and in a recent interview with PEOPLE she revealed why she’s always trying fresh looks.

“I think that I just like doing it because I can,” she explained. “Hair grows back, and I think it’s just a fun and easy way to change your personal style.”

Currently, D’Amelio is rocking long, honey-colored locks with just a hint of her natural dark hair showing at the roots. In the past, she’s sported a number of bold styles, including curtain bangs in 2023 and a buzz cut in 2022.

When she shaved her head, the reality TV star documented the process in a video on YouTube. At the time she explained her decision to shave her head, saying, “I just want to restart.”

She also revealed the look was one she had been wanting to try out “since sixth grade.” Ultimately, D’Amelio was pleased with the results, adding, “Oh my God, Holy s—, I really like it.”

Given how many different colors and styles the D’Amelio Footwear co-founder has tried over the years, it’s only natural to wonder if there’s a hairstyle she has no plans to repeat.

However, D’Amelio isn’t one for regrets when it comes to her hair.

When PEOPLE asked if there was one color or cut she would never do again, she replied, “Something I would never do again? It’s mostly just colors that I didn’t take care of properly, so my hair wasn’t looking good.”

She continued, “But no, I love everything I did. I loved shaving my head. I like having long hair.”

Currently, D’Amelio appears to be enjoying life as a blonde. In April, celebrity hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos posted a video of the social media personality’s  “French vanilla blonde” transformation on Instagram, which is a look she’s still enjoying, even though it has grown out some since then.

“It’s so amazing,” she said of the look. “It’s so blonde!”
