During the ChinaJoy video game convention in Shanghai today–and less than a week after revealing Kevin Rian’s return at Evo 2024–SNK unveiled the next character to join the Fatal Fury: City Of The Wolves roster. Billy Kane, the bo-staff-wielding rival of Terry Bogard, will once again face off against his old foe in this new game.

The reveal trailer shows Billy using his bo staff in battle to give him extra range with attacks. A few of his most recognizable moves can be seen in the trailer, including his helicopter spinning attack, and he can still imbue the staff with fire for extra damage and flashy combos.

In City Of The Wolves, Billy finds himself leading the Howard Connection–previously led by series antagonist Geese Howard–after Geese’s defeat and death. He is said to “harbor a deep grudge” against Terry for causing Geese’s death, and he is looking to exact some revenge against his rival as a result.

Billy is the eighth character to join the City Of The Wolves roster, as he follows recent additions Kevin Rian, Marco Rodrigues, and B. Jenet. He has been playable in multiple Fatal Fury and King Of Fighters entries in the past, with his most recent appearance coming as a downloadable fighter in The King Of Fighters XV.

In other SNK news, the company recently re-released SNK Vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos on PC and consoles after announcing the revival at Evo 2024 last weekend. Elsewhere in fighting game news, Heihachi Mishima is set to return in Tekken 8 despite being thrown into a volcano at the end of the previous game, while Guilty Gear Strive will introduce its first-ever guest character–Lucy from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners–as part of its Season 4 content.

Fatal Fury: City Of The Wolves is set to launch in early 2025 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
