Infuriated parents have filed a lawsuit against a Texas superintendent for allegedly changing their children’s grades.

Monica Johnson and Brandolyn Jones have taken matters into their own hands after claiming that the Marlin Independent School District Superintendent, Dr. Darryl Henson unfairly altered their children’s grades.

Johnson, the mother of Me’kia Mouling, who graduated from Marlin High School in 2023 and now attends Texas A&M University, said Henson’s change caused her daughter to be tied for valedictorian.

Meanwhile, Jones, the mother of Praiyer and Addai Jones, said their grades were not only changed, but one of her children’s long-time teachers was suddenly replaced with a deceased man.

Jones has pulled her youngest out of the school because of the alleged dishonest behavior, but Johnson’s son still attends Marlin High School. She makes sure to keep a watchful eye on him because of Henson.

‘He’s still retaliating because we’re suing him, it’s harassment. So, every day I’m terrified of what he is going to do,’ Johnson told KKXV.

‘I check weekly just so I can keep up with it — I don’t feel like I should have to do that.’

Johnson explained that when her daughter Me’kia attended the controversial high school, Henson modified her grades just before graduation.

‘Henson recalculated grades and it moved her to No. 3,’ her mother said.

The angry mother said the embattled superintendent eventually changed her daughter’s grades back, but at that point, she and another student were tied for valedictorian.

Jones- whose oldest son, Praiyer, now attends the University of Louisiana in Lafayette- has decided to take her youngest, Addai, out of the school district because of the alleged deception at the hands of the superintendent.

She claims Addai’s science teacher not only changed, but his grade dropped exponentially.

‘And his science grade changed from a B average to 20s,’ she said.

‘Even more shocking, his real teacher that he had throughout the entire year had been changed to a man who was dead.’

Even though neither of her kids attend schools in the district anymore, Jones still wants Henson to pay for his actions.

‘I want justice for Addai Jones and Praiyer Jones. I want my son’s grades restored,’ Jones said.

Johnson, whose son still attends Marlin High School, said that his 2024 class ranking has drastically dropped from 13th place to 24th.

‘I feel like he’s still retaliating against me because I am in the process of suing,’ she told the outlet.

‘And not only is he retaliating, but now I feel like it’s harassment because my son still does go to school here.’

Both mother’s filed a lawsuit against Henson at the beginning of the year and documented multiple claims, including first amendment retaliation.

The furious mother’s are suing for damages upwards of $1million.

DailyMail.com contacted Dr. Henson for comment.

This is not the first time the Texas school district has been in the hot seat, after Henson announced in 2023 that the Marlin High School  graduation ceremony had to be postponed.

In a letter sent to parents and families, Henson said most seniors did not make the cut due to low grades and attendance records.

District officials then postponed the ceremony to June in order to give students the time to catch up and hopefully check the boxes needed to obtain their diplomas.

‘As a school district, we really want to make sure we’re making the best decision in the interest of all children,’ Henson previously told KCEN News.

The postponement of the major ceremony comes after the district had already announced a four-day school week aimed at increasing attendance.

In 2020, Marlin ISD lost their official accreditation from Texas after the district received an ‘F’ grade for accountability in 2019.
