Speaking to ComicBook, Berry said it was Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds’ wife, Blake Lively, who bumped into Berry at a fashion show and asked, “Would you ever be in my husband’s movie as Storm?'”

Berry replied, “‘Yeah, if he asked me,’ but he never asked me.”

Berry played Storm alongside Hugh Jackman as Wolverine in a handful of X-Men movies. Another actor from the early X-Men films, Patrick Stewart, was rumored to have a cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine as Charles Xavier, but it didn’t happen. Director Shawn Levy said he never considered Stewart coming back.

Some of the characters who returned for Deadpool & Wolverine in cameo roles included Jennifer Garner as Elektra, Aaron Stanford as Pyro, Chris Evans as Johnny Storm, Taylor Mane as Sabretooth, Wesley Snipes as Blade, Channing Tatum as Gambit, and Dafne Keen as X-23.

Deadpool & Wolverine is a huge success at the box office, recently surpassing $1 billion worldwide. That makes it the No. 11 highest-grossing MCU movie ever.
