Just as it happened with the Season 1 finale, the Season 2 finale of House of the Dragon has leaked early. Numerous clips from the Season 2 finale–which is due to air this Sunday, August 2–have emerged on TikTok, spoiling how the sophomore season wraps up.

ComicBook.com said the clips appear to have been captured by someone recording from off-screen. The clips are said to have generated more than 100,000 views before they were removed. The videos are being reposted all over the internet, so anyone looking to avoid spoilers should be careful out there.

A spokesperson for HBO told The Hollywood Reporter that the company is aware of the leak, explaining that it stemmed from an “unintentional release from an international third-party distributor.”

HBO added: “HBO is aggressively monitoring and removing clips from the internet, and fans can watch the episode in its entirety this Sunday night on HBO and Max.”

In 2022, the Season 1 finale of House of the Dragon leaked online, with HBO saying the “unlawful” leak came from a distribution partner. Before this, a Season 7 episode of Game of Thrones from 2017 was uploaded to torrent websites.

House of the Dragon Season 2 is wrapping up on August 2, but the show isn’t over yet. A third season is also in the works.

Beyond House of the Dragon, HBO is moving ahead with another spin-off, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, which is coming in 2025. Recently, George R.R. Martin announced that HBO was reviving its 10,000 ships spin-off for another pilot attempt, though there is no guarantee it’ll get made.

Yet another spin-off show, from The Batman II writer Mattson Tomlin, is in the writing process and will focus on Aegon Targaryen AKA Aegon the Conqueror. This show, however, is “very early days.”

One Game of Thrones spin-off series that will not go ahead is the Jon Snow TV series that Kit Harington was developing with Martin and HBO. Before this, HBO spent $30 million on a Naomi Watts-led show called Blood Moon before cancelling it.
