A record-breaking transgender athlete has been suspended for threatening rivals that criticized her participation in women’s sports.
Anne Andres, a transgender powerlifter who set an unofficial women’s world record last year, has been banned from participating in any events for six months by the Canadian Powerlifting Union.
Records viewed by DailyMail.com show that the complaints against Andres include bullying, discrimination, harassment and racist behavior for comparing herself to ethnic minorities and ‘wishing death upon,’ at least one other powerlifter.
Andres competitor April Hutchinson was suspended by the union for one year for publicly criticizing Andres involvement in the women’s competition.
In one instance, Andres posted about a law passed in Alberta that bans transgender women from competing in women’s sports and attacked the Premier of Alberta Danielle Smith as well as people who supported the legislation.

‘May your generation die painfully and leave the youth to inherit a better world,’ Andres said.
‘The same f***ing arguments against trans inclusions has [sic] been used historically against black inclusion.’
One person who filed a complaint against Andres said ‘as a black woman,’ Andres comparisons make her feel uncomfortable and unsafe.
Andres allegedly harassed female athletes who did not want to compete against biological males by blasting them on social media.
The complaints also say Andres accused the Alberta Powerlifting Union of requesting her medical records and wanting to look at children’s genitals, which the union denies.
Hutchinson was punished to a one year suspension after she appeared on Piers Morgan Uncensored last August where she remarked on the ‘physical advantages that a male has over a female.’
After slating the transgender athlete on TV, Hutchinson became the focus of an ethics investigation by the governing body and was initially sentenced to a two-year suspension but had it reduced to one year on appeal.

She shared her frustration in a fiery opinion piece for DailyMail.com where she pleaded for fairness in the sport and slammed Andres for mocking her female rivals as ‘weak.’
She said Andres was ‘taking to social media to mock females, to belittle us as weak, to rub it in our faces.’
At one point Andres even characterized a female rival as having ‘little T-Rex arms’.
She said that when Andres won another contest, watching her put a stuffed toy T-Rex on the podium appeared particularly pointed – especially as she noted that the only two others on the podium were only there as every other competitor had dropped out.
Transgender athletes involvement in women’s sports had been brought into the spotlight during the 2024 Olympic Games.
Italy’s Angela Carini walked out of her match against ‘biological male’ Algerian opponent Imane Khelif after just 46 seconds on Thursday.

The female Italian was left reeling from the cross by Khelif (in the red) – who was previously banned from the world championships for failing testosterone tests
The Italian threw her helmet onto the floor as the clash was abandoned, yelling: ‘This is unjust.’
The 25-year-old refused the handshake and fell to the canvas sobbing having received just two punches from Khelif – who had been banned from a major boxing contest before the Olympics.
Khelif was thrown out of last year’s world championships after failing testosterone tests carried out to establish gender qualification.
A volleyball player left partially paralyzed by a transgender opponent has slammed the Olympics over its boxing controversy.
Payton McNabb was 17 when a ball spiked by a trans opponent with force struck her in the face, threw her to the ground and shut off her consciousness.
McNabb was left with brain damage and paralysis on her right side, which ended her dreams of getting a volleyball college scholarship and has made it difficult to walk without falling.
She told DailyMail.com it was ‘disgusting’ that two boxers who failed gender tests had been cleared to fight women at this year’s Games in Paris.
