Sure, the market for pocket-sized collectibles might be fierce, but Nendoroid has made a name for itself as it continues to add to its customizable lineup of posable figures. The company might have just outdone itself with its upcoming Solid Snake and Raiden Metal Gear Solid collectibles. Not only are they cute and impressively detailed, they’re also hilarious thanks to one of the optional extra parts included with them. Unfortunately, you’ll have to wait until August 13, 2025 to get your order, but preorders have already sold out numerous times at Amazon. At the time of writing, however, the figures were back in stock.

We are of course talking about the Nendoroid Solid Snake figure, which comes with a low-polygon face. This is a meme in the making, an outstanding return to an age of limited graphical resources and blocks for hands. Available to preorder for $41 at Amazon and out in August 2025–a reminder, Amazon will only charge you for the figure when it actually ships out–you’re also getting a handgun, an assault rifle, and a cardboard box with this Nendoroid. Even better, this is the first-ever Nendoroid that can be posed in a prone position.

You can also pair Snake up with Raiden from Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, as this $41 figure will be released around the same time. While you won’t get a low-poly face to swap the default one out with, you will get a spare face-plate designed by Metal Gear Solid’s legendary illustrator, Yoji Shinkawa. You’ll also get a sidearm, an assault rifle, a cardboard box for sneaking, and a naked body to put Raiden’s head on, for when you want to recreate one of the more bizarre scenes of Metal Gear Solid 2. Like Solid Snake, this figure also includes special articulation to help it strike a prone pose.

For some great–and more immediate–bargains, you can do some retail therapy at GameStop with its buy one, get one free sale on collectibles this week. As the name implies, you can pick two collectibles and get the cheapest one for free. If you’re a Star Wars cosplayer, this is a convenient way to get some of Hasbro’s excellent Black Series helmets for cheap.
