A powerful earthquake rocked Los Angeles and other parts of Southern California on Monday afternoon.
The 4.9-magnitude quake hit the Golden State around 1 p.m. with the epicenter about 13 miles northeast of Barstow in San Bernardino County, according to the US Geological Survey.
Following the initial rumble, major aftershocks were also felt that measured at 3.5 and 2.7.
So far, no damage to buildings or injuries have been reported, the station reported.
“This one felt like a little bit of rolling,” California Highway Patrol spokesperson Shane Hernandez told KTLA. “And then, as the aftershocks came in, it felt a little like it was pushing up towards us … It just seemed like it never stopped.”
