RFK Jr. , in residency dispute, now claims to ‘own’ a home in New York

Presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. raised more questions in the  legal fight over his residency by claiming in a fundraising appeal that he “owns a home” in New York.

“Think about it: What do you call someone who owns a home in New York, is registered to vote there, and pays taxes in the state? A New York resident!,” the email pitch the Kennedy-Nicole Shanahan campaign sent to supporters said.

The solicitation blasted the Democratic National Committee for trying to knock him out of the race by challenging his official residence.

The Post reported back in May that the independent candidate claimed his voting address at 84 Croton Lake Road In Katonah, a property that was in foreclosure proceedings for non-payment, according to court records.

The legal owner of the property is Barbara Moss, the wife of longtime RFK pal Timothy Haydock, a Westchester doctor.

Neighbors said they had never seen Kennedy, but the candidate insisted that’s his official residence.

He did not claim that he currently owned a home in New York.

Before announcing his run for president, Kennedy was spending most of his time at his home in Los Angeles where he lives with his actress wife Cheryl Hines, who starred in HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”

RFK was in Albany court last week to fight a lawsuit alleging that he falsely claimed to live in New York.

The lawsuit was brought by Clear Choice PAC, a super PAC aligned with the Democratic ticket, now headed by Vice President Kamala Harris after President Joe Biden announced he would not seek re-election.

Kennedy is trying to achieve ballot status in as many states as possible to mount a third party candidacy.

Judge Christina Ryba is expected to issue a ruling in the residency spat this week.

The Kennedy campaign had no immediate comment.
