Jordan Robertson filmed the chaotic moment a curious canine ran up to a horse in Glasgow after managing to slip away from the owner.

The footage shows the dog snapping at the horse’s legs whilst the horse jumps up, ushering the dog away.

Although the horse and dog were not in any way hurt the clip shows the police officer, who was riding the animal, trying to shoo the dog away so no one would be injured.

Luckily, the owner managed to reach his pet’s leash and de-escalate the situation and avoid any serious harm.

Jordan said: ‘A dog had managed to run away from its owner to chase a police horse.

‘In the video, the dog is snapping at the horses’ legs and the horse is jumping about whilst onlookers are trying to intervene.

‘The incident occurred outside the TRNSMT festival, which takes place in Glasgow Green.

‘The dog had spotted a police horse and being a dog, it started chasing after it.

‘I believe the owner had the dog on a lead but was not expecting the dog to suddenly run so he lost control of it.

‘The dog was snapping at the legs of the horse, but it looked more like it was playing rather than attacking it.

He added: ‘The owner eventually gets the dog.

‘I thought the dog was just playing like dogs do, it’s understandable that the policewoman riding the horse was so angry as it was probably down to fear of getting thrown off the horse and seriously injured.’
