Dansby and Mallory Swanson are one of the most accomplished athletic couples today. They were married in December 2022, just over a year after Dansby won a World Series ring with the Atlanta Braves in ‘21.

Now, they will have to make room in their house for an Olympic gold medal.

Mallory, a star striker for the Chicago Red Stars of the National Women’s Soccer League, scored in the 57th minute of Saturday’s gold medal game against Brazil to give the United States women’s national soccer team a 1-0 victory. It was Swanson’s fourth goal of the Paris Olympics.

Dansby has talked about the joys of playing in the same city as his wife. Back in June, Dansby was in attendance when Mallory and the Red Stars played the first women’s soccer game at Wrigley Field.

Mallory’s goal delivered Team USA’s first Olympics gold medal in 12 years.

Mallory was also a member of the US team that won the 2019 FIFA World Cup, while Dansby is a two-time All-Star and Gold Glover. We’ve already seen them try to settle the debate of who is the best athlete under their roof. Mallory’s pivotal goal on Saturday may give her the lead in that discussion.
