A thug who helped murder a young father who was gunned down in a ‘hail of bullets’ has been jailed for life.
Murtaza Nazir, 26, was blasted with ten shots fired by two gunmen who ambushed him in the street in Stechford, Birmingham on August 28, 2020.
Three bullets hit him in the back and despite the efforts of paramedics Mr Nazir, who had a 10-month-old child, died at the scene.
Shocking audio of the ‘street execution’ was captured on a CCTV camera which helped nail his killers.
Shamrez Khan, 23, and Tahir Zaman, 29, were found guilty of murder and jailed for life back in 2021.
Now a third killer, Akeem Lawrence, 30, has also been convicted of murder and conspiracy to possess a firearm.

Akeem Lawrence (pictured) has now also been convicted of murder and conspiracy to possess a firearm
He was found guilty following a trial at Birmingham Crown Court and on Friday he was jailed for at least 35 years.
West Midlands Police tracked down Lawrence’s involvement by trawling through hours of CCTV footage and phone data.
Detective Inspector Jim Mahon, of West Midlands Police, said: ‘It is only right and proper that Lawrence has also been convicted of the murder of Mr Nazir, a much-loved family man who at the time had a 10-month-old son.
‘Our investigations have been complex and thorough, spanning many, many months, but it has resulted in another of the men involved in this callous killing being brought to justice.
‘We always strive to do all we can to pursue all those involved in a crime and we are always open to new information that can assist in our enquiries.
‘It is never too late to come forward and tell us what you know.
‘So, despite this successful conviction, I would ask again for anyone who is yet to pass on what they know about all those involved in Mr Nazir’s murder, to talk to us.’
Mr Nazir had parked his Black Mitsubishi Shogun on Bagshaw Road and had only just got out when he was gunned down.
A white Dacia Duster and a grey Seat Leon with cloned number plates, suddenly pulled up next to Mr Nazir.

Tahir Zaman (pictured) was caught when officers retrieved a discarded cigarette butt at an industrial unit which matched his DNA profile
Gunmen Khan and Zaman got out of the back seats of each car and fired at different angles at Mr Nazir who collapsed immediately.
The two gunmen got back in the cars and sped off leaving Mr Nazir dying in the street.
Their accomplices in both vehicles kept their engines running meaning that all four people were at the scene for no more than 30 seconds.

Detectives pieced together the gangs movements on the day of the shooting by painstakingly reviewing 1,000 clips of CCTV from dozens of locations.
A black VW Golf was seen repeatedly circling the streets in the hours before the murder.
Earlier in the day CCTV had already captured Khan arriving at the units where it is believed the vehicles were cut up and disposed of.
During a search of the units forensics experts recovered a parcel shelf from a Seat Leon and car mats from a Dacia Duster.
