Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz is heading to the Hamptons this week for a $50,000-per-ticket fundraiser in his first New York campaign appearance, Page Six has learned.
The Democratic VP hopeful will be in Southampton Thursday to pass the hat around and he’ll share a stage with Grammy-winning British folk band Mumford & Sons, who are expected to perform.
“This will be the Governor’s first event in New York for Harris-Walz 2024, and we are looking forward to gathering a group of energized supporters for the campaign ahead of the DNC convention,” reads an email to donors about the event obtained by Page Six.
$50,000 gets donors in the door, but those who raise a cool $75,000 will get a photo op with Walz and access to a “VIP reception.”
It won’t be the Harris-Walz campaign’s only stopover in the Hamptons before the election.
Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff will be appearing in Sag Harbor and Watermill later this month, as well as an event on Aug. 31 alongside Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo.
A source tells Page Six exclusively that Vice President Kamala Harris will skip the Hamptons event because the summer season is nearly over, and instead will appear at an NYC donor event in Manhattan this fall.
