The viral video posted on TikTok shows the turkey pecking, clawing and jumping at the black car – a bizarre assault that lasted for 15 minutes and might have been spurred when the animal saw its reflection on the car’s side.

The Audi owner Alicia Mastroianni first believed that someone had struck her parked car when she walked out and saw the damage as she was about to leave for work at Boston Children’s Hospital Hospital on July 15, WBZ News reported.

But then she spotted a note on her windshield. The note was from a good Samaritan who videotaped the strange turkey attack and wanted to make sure Mastroianni knew what had happened.

“I just watched and recorded a massive turkey attack your car for over 15 mins! It looks pretty scratched up. I tried to scare it away but it ignored me,” the note reads.

When she saw all the damage, she told Boston 25, “I think my jaw was just on the floor.”

“The running joke in my family right now is I lived in like a rural farm town in Maryland like my entire life and we have all sorts of animals like deer, foxes, the occasional turkey or peacock,” Mastroianni told the station.

“I was preparing to move into this big city and making a list of all the things I should be prepared for. I can tell you honestly that a turkey attacking my car was not on the list.”

Mastroianni lives in the Brighton section of the city and her car was parked on the street near her home.

When she filed an insurance claim, there was actually an option to select parked car animal violence, she said.

Massachusetts Environmental Police said the turkey may have assaulted her car because it saw its reflection in the car and launched at it, WBZ reported.
