Welcome to The Blueprint, where we break down the celebrity looks we want to wear right now and build them back up, piece by piece.

When you’ve got your gal pals and a really good outfit, life is good — I don’t make the rules.

But one thing I do make is, well, a living covering my favorite celebrity outfits. And today I need to talk about Gwyneth Paltrow. The Goop founder was spotted shopping with Sheryl Berkoff, Rob Lowe’s wife, on July 27 and her sleeveless striped dress is exactly what I would have worn for a hot summer day filled with walking and talking. It was also a nice fill-in for sticky pants and stiff skirts.

She also laced up a pair of white sneakers and threw a canvas-like tote bag in the lineup to bring the coastal grandmother meets California casual vibe together.

Gwyneth Paltrow goes shopping with Sheryl Lowe, wife of actor Rob Lowe. Paltrow stayed cool and comfy sipping a Yuzu sparkling water and donning a horizontal striped summer dress that hid her slim figure.

Paltrow’s dress could be this $495 Cannes Striped Dress from G. Label by Goop, but I’m not sure if I can squeeze that into my monthly budget. But I can plan for this maxi dress from Amazon. It’s got stripes, an anti-clingy silhouette that’s breezy, and a slit to show some skin.

Not a pattern person? I’m typically not either, but Paltrow, plus Meghan Markle and Katie Holmes (who wore similar striped dresses last summer) have officially hooked me — and this one is only $25, so I can sport the timeless pattern (Paltrow is proof that stripes are sticking around for more than just one season) without burdening myself financially.

Paltrow’s white shoes appeared to have contrasting soles, just like these popular Cariuma Oca Lows. Gabrielle Union recently wore the same pair on the red carpet in a different color, while Brooke Shields traveled in another style from the brand in March. Add those sightings with the thousands of positive shopper ratings, and what’s not to like?

Another brand worth checking out is Seavees. Gwyneth even once said that she was “obsessed” with her high-tops from the brand and that they were “so comfortable.” These low-tops, which look more similar to the pair she was wearing, might just be as cushy on your feet, too.

Because so many celebs are wearing totes, my colleague declared it a big bag summer. I’ve naturally been following suit, but I do not have a canvas tote, and I need one. This $12 pack from Amazon comes with five bags, so I can keep one in my car, my house, and more. Plus, I’d have extras if one broke or got dirty, which is honestly pretty typical for me.

Paris has been put on a major weather alert this evening with several Olympic events in jeopardy, including Andy Murray's bid for glory in men's tennis doubles, after France's meteorological service warned of massive incoming storms.  Strong thunderstorms, heavy rain, hail and lightning are expected from 6:00pm local time over the French capital, the weather

This jargon terminates here! Rail companies to ditch language used in on-board announcements over fears it is too ‘bureaucratic’ for passengers

Rail companies are ditching phrases such as 'this train terminates here' to make 'language easy to understand' for all. The term will instead sound more like 'this train ends its journey here' - as part of a year-long drive by Britain's railway companies to simplify how they talk to passengers.  On-board announcements across three rail companies are being
