Shocking footage from Saturday shows the moment a dark SUV goes into the path of a white speeding car, sending it rolling onto two people on the sidewalk.

It appears that the car struck an old pedestal with a payphone, moving it to the right just enough to spare the couple from tragedy.

The female pedestrian is on video seen getting up and running to the back of the car to help the man on the ground.

Meanwhile several passengers are seen crawling out of the back window of the white car.

Witnesses told WISN the couple only had a few scratches following the crash.

The man reportedly had a hard time breathing and the woman said she had a shoulder injury.

They were both sitting on the road crying after the accident, according to a witness.

Police said four people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries

The driver of the car was ticketed for reckless driving, driving with a suspended license, and driving without insurance.

Residents of the area told local media they would like to see a stop sign added to the intersection where the crash happened.
